Pipe + Barrel was born out of evenings spent with our grandfather, Grandpa Smokes, who had a way of making the world feel both steady and alive. He was rarely without his two trusted companions: a pipe in one hand and a glass of bourbon in the other. But more than that, he was the anchor of every gathering. He told stories that stretched long into the night, made us laugh until our sides ached, and reminded us that the best moments in life are the slow ones.
For us, bourbon will always be tied to those memories. It wasn’t just what he drank—it was part of the ritual that brought people together.A pour wasn’t just about the liquid in the glass; it was about creating space for connection, about honoring the people in the room, about holding time just a little longer.

Our Philosophy

We triple-distill in copper, a method that adds depth and character, and age our bourbon in the dramatic seasons of Colorado—hot summers drawing the spirit deep into the oak, cold winters coaxing it back out. These extremes create complexity, layering warmth, spice, and richness that can only come from time and nature working together.

Meet the Founder
Jarrin Solomon has always lived at the intersection of discipline and heart. As a two-time Olympian, he knows what it takes to chase big goals—the focus, the sacrifice, and the determination when no one is watching. Yet beyond the medals, Jarrin’s greatest strength is his ability to connect with others. He has a gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and part of something bigger.
Those qualities were shaped by his family and the values instilled in him from an early age—loyalty, resilience, and the belief that shared moments matter most. Carrying those lessons forward, Jarrin set out to create something lasting. Where the track demanded focus and perseverance, the barrel requires the same—patience, care, and trust in the process. For Jarrin, bourbon is more than a craft; it’s a reflection of the values that shaped him as both an athlete and a man.
With the support and help of his wife, Debra, he brought a family dream to reality through Pipe + Barrel. For Jarrin, being a founder isn’t just about building a bourbon brand—it’s about building a legacy grounded in intention, connection, and authenticity.
